About David Synnott – Founder of Synnott Lawline Solicitors

David Synnott has practised law since 1980 and is one of Ireland’s most experienced solicitors across all aspects of personal injury claims and medical negligence.

He began his career in general practice before founding DJ Synnott Solicitors in 1992, specialising in personal injury claims. His brother, Alan, followed a similar path in the injury claims sector and founded Lawline Solicitors in Christchurch, Dublin 8. Following Alan’s tragic death in 2000, David brought the two practices together, merging DJ Synnott Solicitors with Lawline to form Synnott Lawline Solicitors in 2018, which is now based at Lawline House in the heart of Christchurch Dublin 8.

Over more than four decades in practice, David has represented plaintiffs in numerous high-value and landmark injury cases, as well as thousands of everyday accident claims. Day to day, he oversees the firm, ensuring clients are supported by a practice that is both legally rigorous and operationally sound. With the expertise David has built over the years, he brings clear, no-nonsense professional legal guidance to his clients. David is a member of the APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).

Outside of Lawline House, David is a keen golfer who competes regularly and is always working to improve his swing!
