History of Synnott Lawline

David Synnott (the brother of the late Alan Synnott) is the senior partner and founder of DJ Synnott, now Synnott Lawline. He has practised law for more than 35 years, fifteen of which have been dedicated exclusively to personal injury.

Lawline was founded by the late Alan Synnott in 1994. Lawline was one of the first firms of Solicitors in Ireland to specialise in personal injury law and from the outset the firm dealt exclusively in the handling of personal injury compensation claims. David and Alan recognised their firms could achieve a standard of excellence second to none and thus delivered legal services of the highest quality to clients since.
Tragically, Alan passed away in 2003 at aged only 44 and so Lawline was taken over at that point by Alan’s brother David, himself a dedicated personal injury Solicitor, and the firm continues to prosper under David’s stewardship.

The 2 firms have amalgamated their legal expertise to provide customers with a full range of legal services, including: Personal Injury Claims, Medical Negligence Claims, and Cosmetic Surgery Claims. The firm also has a specialised department providing services in Family Law, Conveyancing and Probate.

About PIAB

At Synnott Lawline Solicitors, we specialise in PIAB applications. We provide expert advice throughout the entire process and ensure that each and every client receives our full care and attention. We ensure that the Board adheres to the time limits imposed on it and handle all queries from the Board on your behalf.

We look after your PIAB Assessment

In Ireland, there is a government-funded body called PIAB (Personal Injuries Assessment Board) that has been set up specifically to handle claims for personal injuries. Personal injury claims, with some exceptions, must be assessed by PIAB before any court proceedings can be issued. We will present your case to PIAB on your behalf.

Personal Injury Claims Guide

Synnott Lawline Solicitors produced this booklet to help our clients understand the personal injury claims process and answer common questions. During the course of your claim, we will refer to the relevant sections of this guide to explain the particular aspect of your claim.

Legal Fees

Factors are taken into account in assessing a solicitor’s bill. In addition to the professional fee and miscellaneous charges payable to the solicitor, there will be items of outlay payable to third parties, including government agencies, which must be discharged by you.

How to Start an Injury Claim

If you have suffered an injury due to no fault of your own, you may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim. Before proceeding with your personal injury compensation claim, you need to prove that your injury, illness or disease was caused by the negligence of another party. To start, tell us about your case.
